The health condition of Russian-Armenian businessman and benefactor Levon Hayrapetyan—who is originally from the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic—continues to remain critical.

Hayrapetyan’s close friend Artur Safaryan told the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“Hayrapetyan’s [health] condition is the same; it’s natural that it will be psychologically bad, too. He is in a depressed state, there are no changes at this point, and he is still at the medical department of Matrosskaya Tishina [prison in Moscow],” Safaryan specifically said.

He added, however, that they will meet with Hayrapetyan’s attorneys on Monday, and therefore there may be new developments.

Levon Hayrapetyan suffers from several illnesses, including cancer and diabetes, and, most recently, he also sufferettd from cerebral palsy.

In support of the Russian-Armenian businessman, a protest march will be staged Thursday, in Armenia’s capital city Yerevan, and toward the Office of the Human Rights Defender of Armenia, and the Russian Embassy.

Levon Hayrapetyan, 65, was detained in a Moscow airport on July 15 and subsequently arrested. On Thursday, July 24, the Russian Federation Investigation Committee brought two criminal charges against him; the charges are embezzlement or misuse, and money laundering.
