The Armenian News-NEWS.am’s photo camera has captured yet another well-known Armenian church in Turkey, and which was closed to visitors hitherto.

The St. Bartholomew Armenian Church, which for many years was within the territory of a Turkish military unit in the Baskale (Aghbak) region of Van Province, was partially released from “captivity,” since the said military unit has been relocated.

As a result, the Armenian News-NEWS.am’s photo camera was able to enter the area and capture the beauty of this church.

The Van provincial governor had paid a visit to the St. Bartholomew Church months ago, and announced that the church will be restored and be open for tourism.
