The single headquarters supporting Armenian-Russian businessman Levon Hayraeptyan has called to refrain from marches and demonstrations.

“Taking into account legal procedure regarding our compatriot, businessman and benefactor Levon Hayrapetyan as well as importance of non-interference in these processes, we do not have right to damage the process with our steps. Some people call to organize a march in support of Levon Hayrapetyan on July 31. The march is not an initiative of the single headquarters,” they said in a statement.

Hayrapetyan's supporters warned against taking moves without coordination with the headquarters.

Levon Hayrapetyan, 65, was detained in a Moscow airport on July 15 and subsequently arrested. On Thursday, July 24, the Russian Federation Investigation Committee brought two criminal charges against him; the charges are embezzlement or misuse, and money laundering.
