YEREVAN. – Fifteen students and graduates of Luys Foundation scholarship program spent 10 days in Dilijan where the worked on business development projects in collaboration with the local youth. The students presented their projects during the Tuesday meeting with President Serzh Sargsyan.

During their 10-day stay in Dilijan, students organized seminars on business and finance, held fundraising for renovation of the cultural center and organized a chess tournament.

Sarin Shamirian, one of the program's participants from LA, presented the idea of a Dilijan student offering to create a bike shop to sell coffee across Dilijan. 

“The guy wanted to open a tea house, as he felt there was no place where friends to have fun. Then we realized that renting a place for a café is not a simple thing to do. He offered to open a cafe on the wheels to sell coffee while riding a bicycle,” Sarin told Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent.

Sarin said she plans to visit the boy, to help him carry out his idea before returning to the United States.

The girl confessed she has a strong desire to stay in Armenia, especially since she has learned about problems the locals are faced with and thought about the ways to solve them.

President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, who is also co-founder of the Luys (Light) Foundation scholarship program, on Tuesday received the 2014/15 academic year scholarship winners of the foundation.
