YEREVAN. – Armenian-Russian businessman Levon Hayrapetyan lost consciousness in Moscow jail, press service of Artsakh Today told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
According to Hayrapetyan's nephew, his uncle who is in custody in Moscow is in bad condition and is not able to talk to lawyers.
“Such behavior towards a sick man is inhuman. We are talking about an economic crime. And he is treated as if he had killed someone, and had been caught red-handed,” Gurgen Hayrapetyan said.
Levon Hayrapetyan, 65, was detained in a Moscow airport on July 15 and subsequently arrested. On Thursday, July 24, the Russian Federation Investigation Committee brought two criminal charges against him; the charges are embezzlement or misuse, and money laundering.
