YEREVAN. – The readmission agreement signed with EU has made it more difficult for Armenians to seek asylum in EU states, Zhamanak newspaper writes.
“Previously, there were reports that Armenians cannot get asylum especially in France and Belgium. Now it happens with Armenians applying for temporary asylum in Germany, Austria and the Netherlands.
The most attractive country for Armenians is France, as 48 percent of asylum seekers are applying to this country's authorities. Eighteen percent of Armenians apply for asylum in Germany,” the newspaper writes.
