YEREVAN. – Armenian leader Serzh Sargsyan should follow the lead of Ukrainian PM Arseniy Yatsenyuk, ex-presidential candidate Paruyr Hayrikyan said.

Any politician unable to implement his programs must resign just as Ukrainain PM did, head of the opposition National Self-Determination Union believes.

“But, the Armenians do not have such tradition. Serzh Sargsyan is still in power after ending in fiasco both cooperation with EU and joining Eurasian Economic Union. It is unacceptable,” Hayrikyan said during a press conference on Thursday.

National Self-Determination Union has prepared two statements that will be made public on August 8, and will point at all obstacles that Armenia may face after choosing Eurasian integration.

“The problem is not about losing or gaining lands, but how Armenia is perceived in the world. We are considered the servants of Russia, a country that initiated aggressive actions against neighboring Azerbaijan. The Armenian authorities, starting from Levon Ter-Petrosyan and up to Serzh Sargsyan are to blame,” he noted.
