STEPANAKERT. – Azerbaijan made an attempt of diversion attempt in the north-eastern direction of the line of contact with Nagorno-Karabakh on the night of August 2.

The movement of the adversary's troops was detected in due time, NKF Defense Ministry said in a statement. The adversary's troops were thrown to the primary positions sustaining considerable losses. According to the available data, three Azerbaijani soldiers were killed and another seven were injured.

Armenian serviceman Zorik Gevorgyan was killed in clashes. An investigation has been launched.

During the night, several attempts of attack in the northern and north-eastern directions were made. Karabakh army units threw the opponent to primary positions. The data on adversary's losses is being clarified. The Defense Army units keep the situation under control.

Meanwhile, Azerbaijani media quoting its defense ministry reports about four Azerbaijani soldiers killed during an alleged Armenian act of sabotage.
