YEREVAN. – A passenger bus, which was heading for Russia from Armenia, broke down nearby Armenia’s Aparan city on Friday evening (photo).

As a result, 53 passengers—including children and pregnant women—remained stranded in the bus for fifteen hours.

The passengers told Armenian News-NEWS.am that the bus did not have an air conditioner and it was in disrepair from the very beginning.

At this point, the protesting passengers have gathered outside the office of the company conducting this bus trip.

But no one from the company management has yet come to meet with the people who were stranded for more than fifteen hours.

“We don’t know what will happen to these people. When the director comes, ask him,” the company employees told the Armenian News-NEWS.am reporter.

Even though the passenger bus was to leave Armenia’s capital city Yerevan on Friday at 6pm, it had actually left the city at 8:15pm.
