Yoshihide Suga, who is Chief Cabinet Secretary of Japan, believes that the sanctions, which Russia has imposed against several Japanese citizens, will complicate bilateral relations between the two countries, reported RIA Novosti news agency of Russia.
“This decision will have a negative impact on Russian-Japanese relations, giving rise to a great regret,” he stated.
On August 22, the Russian MFA handed to the Japanese ambassador in Moscow the list of those Japanese citizens whose entry to Russia will be prohibited. This measure was taken in response to the sanctions by official Tokyo.
