YEREVAN. – The Crisis Management Center of Armenia received an emergency call on Sunday at 9:11pm.

Accordingly, some people had gone on an expedition on the northern side of Mount Aragats, nearby Lake Kar, but they had gotten lost, and therefore rescuers were needed.

An operative team from the Aragatsotn Region Rescue Department was dispatched to the scene.

It was found out that a group of youth, who had gone on an expedition to the mountain, had decided to divide into teams and explore the area of Mount Aragats. Nine of them had ascended higher up into the mountain than the rest and, subsequently, again divided into smaller teams, but one of which—comprising one girl and two boys—had lost its way back while descending from the mountain top.

After a brief search, however, the rescuers found these youth, with the help of light and sound signals, and helped them come out of the sector of the mountain that is difficult to pass.

The fire and rescue workers accompanied the three lost youth and the remaining twelve members of the expedition to the nearby habitation.
