Kazakhstan always has a right to leave Eurasian Economic Union if there is disagreement on certain decisions, president Nursultan Nazarbayev said.

“Creation of economic, not political union, is a right move. When the presidents of Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus meet together they do not adopt a decision, if someone is against. This is called consensus. Each has equal rights,” he said in an interview with Habar television.

President Nazarbayev said independence is the major value of Kazakhstan. At the same time he stressed economic benefit that country is getting from Eurasian Union accession, Novosti Kazakhstan reported.

He emphasized that Ukrainian crisis will have negative effect on the Eurasian Union, but Kazakh producers will be able to make profit thanks to Russia's sanctions.
