YEREVAN. – Armenia will become a member of the Eurasian Economic Union starting from January 1, 2015, Russian Ambassador Ivan Volynkin told reporters on Tuesday.
The Ambassador believes the accession agreement will be signed in the near future.
Asked whether anything can prevent Armenia from joining the Union, Ambassador said “nothing can hamper the process, as it is not only the opinion of Armenian leadership, but the majority of population”.
