A total of 54 border guards were killed during the anti-terrorist operations in eastern Ukraine, UNN news agency reported citing the Ukrainian State Border Service.

In addition, 300 soldiers from the Ukrainian army on Monday withdrew from Georgievsk and Lutugino regions, and the Luhansk airport.

“During the five-hour battle, forty Ukrainian soldiers were wounded and twenty [were] killed. We know that three people simply exploded on mines,” a Ukrainian military commander said.
