Ukraine's justice minister Pavel Petrenko thinks that Ukraine may get a status of NATO ally by the end of this year, he said during a briefing on Tuesday.
Petro Poroshenko and Barack Obama will hold talks on the issue in September, he said.
“I think that given diplomatic procedure this can be expected this year,” Petrenko added.
He noted that the process of getting status of NATO ally has been launched and Ukraine's status of ally is a preliminary stage on the way of country's membership to the Alliance.
