YEREVAN. – Armenian Control Chamber Chairman Ishkhan Zakaryan said, at the National Assembly Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs, that they have given $292,000 from the state budget to a company registered in Zimbabwe, and to teach Armenians mechanisms for apricot and peach production, Haykakan Zhamanak reported.
“This was carried out by the Haykakan Mirg [i.e., Armenian Fruit] company, which is funded by the state budget.
“And another company received 150 million drams [approx. $363,518] from the government to import Edilbaev sheep to Armenia, but, instead, it purchased domestic sheep and lambs from Ashtarak [city],” Haykakan Zhamanak wrote.
