YEREVAN. – The Ministry of Justice of Armenia is preparing to introduce a law initiative whereby, in all likelihood, the country’s prisoners will be allowed to lawfully establish a telephonic, or an Internet connection with the outside world.

Minister Hovhannes Manukyan told the aforementioned to several reporters on Thursday.

“We are conducting research; we want to study the global track-record and see what the limit is for a convict’s legal right to establish contact with the society. Once we determine that, we may even allow them to use the phone, or the Internet,” Manukyan said.
