YEREVAN. – DigiCamp summer camp persuaded school children and students to generate ideas, Executive Director of Union of IT Enterprises (UITE) Karen Vardanyan said.

During the summer camp, young people were able to create projects and share their experience with IT professionals.

The first place in contest went to the project of seeding robot, the second to a program tracking the history of phone calls to the subscribers and advising which tariff plan to choose.

“The students would better develop these projects with professionals having experience in commerce. The experts were pleasantly surprised at the knowledge that participants had,” Vardnayan added.

The summer camp held in the Gegharkunik region of Armenia on August 10-20 was organized by UITE and Beeline, the main sponsor. The program was supported by D-Link and Youth Foundation of Armenia. Forty teenagers, boys and girls aged 13-25, participated in the camp.
