YEREVAN. – The Government of Armenia has provided funds for the construction of a defensive wall in the border village of Chinari of the Tavush Region.

Deputy Prime Minister and Territorial Administration Minister Armen Gevorgyan stated the aforesaid at Thursday’s Cabinet meeting.

In his words, the wall will be built in the most dangerous parts of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border, and it will make movement in the village become safer.

In addition, the village school will be renovated. Furthermore, a drainage canal will be built in Aygedzor village of the same region.

Also, several administrative units in the Gegharkunik Region are planned to be renovated.

About $360,000 will be allocated for these programs.
