On Friday, The Moscow Municipal Court is examining the matter of whether or not to extend the detention of Russian-Armenian businessman and benefactor Levon Hayrapetyan, who is in confinement in the Russian capital city.

Armenian News-NEWS.am has learned from the press service of the Union of Armenians of Russia that Hayrapetyan likewise is in attendance to this court session.

And entering the courtroom, Hayrapetyan uttered only one word: “Outrage!”

Levon Hayrapetyan, 65, was detained in a Moscow airport on July 15 and subsequently arrested. On July 24, the Russian Federation Investigation Committee brought two criminal charges against him: embezzlement or misuse, and money laundering. To note, even though Hayrapetyan has health problems, he is still kept in prison.
