YEREVAN. – Air Armenia Executive Director Arsen Avetisyan assured the company will continue working in the market.

Russian State Corporation for Organization of Air Communication announced it will suspend the air navigation service for Air Armenia airline company in its airspace starting from September 21.

Air Armenia became a real competitor for the Russian companies which is proved by figures, Avetisyan told reporters on Friday. The ticket price fell by 35 percent, since Air Armenia entered the market.

Avetisyan noted that prices changed for the directions where the company is operating flights, and this naturally affected the income of Russian companies, as well as income of Air Armenia itself.

However, the executive director  added that it is not right to link this to Russian State Corporation's behavior without evidence.

“We have recently launched a new flight to Frankfurt, that was immediately followed by problems with Russian Corporation. I do not know whether this is a coincidence, I do not want to blame anyone. I can only say: if someone wants keep us back from the market, they will not succeed,” he emphasized.

Earlier Air Armenia representatives said problems are of technical character, as the bank, through which the transfers are made, is under sanctions.
