NATO member countries have started to provide arms to Kyiv, stated Valery Geletey, the Ukrainian Minister of Defense.   

“The process has begun; these are lethal and non-lethal weapons,” he told Inter TV of Ukraine. 

But the minister did not specify which NATO countries had agreed to supply weapons to Ukraine.

“This all happens behind closed doors. It would be irresponsible on my part to raise the issues that we discussed with the NATO defense ministers,” he stressed. 

Valery Geletey also stated that if Ukraine does not receive assistance from the West, it will consider the matter of restoring its nuclear status.
