YEREVAN. – Despite growing confrontation between Russian and West, Kremlin and White House have common position on Karabakh issue, political analyst Sergey Minasyan believes.

This is proved either by meeting in Sochi and trilateral meeting in Wales during which the parties confirmed that any military action at the line of contact is unacceptable. Besides, the political analyst drew attention to the fact that the OSCE Minsk Group proved to be a viable platform.

Commenting on the recent strong statements by Baku's leadership and in contrast their quite balanced position in the negotiations, Minasyan said: “Despite the fact that the mess was made by Azerbaijani authorities, Baku is aware of the cost of war and hardly dares to pay it, especially after the events of August, when it once again became clear that Armenia is not inferior, and in some cases even superior to Azerbaijan”.
