YEREVAN. – Armenian President and ruling Republican Party (RPA) Chairman Serzh Sargsyan has serious concerns over some things and has decided to “tighten the bridle” of his political team, Hraparak daily reported.

“During one of the last sessions of the RPA EB [Executive Body], he gave strict instructions to his fellow party members to behave and go along the party line.

“Now, Serzh Sargsyan has started to stop talking and take [respective] action.

“At yesterday’s [Wednesday’s] closed session of the parliament, the legislative and executive body representatives discussed the drafts which the government has sent to the NA [National Assembly] and which need to be deliberated on at the next four-day [NA session].

“Usually they are discussed solely at the committees, but now there is a clear directive that consultations be held also with the [RPA NA] Faction, so that everyone will be on the same line and will not allow a slip-up during the deliberations,” Hraparak wrote.
