YEREVAN. – Armenia's Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan met with the leaders of regional and local offices of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA).

According to the Armenian News-NEWS.am sources, the RPA representatives discussed internal political issues, as well as vacant seat of the Syunik Governor. Local officials supported Suren Khachatryan's candidacy for the post. However, PM did not respond to the proposal.

The governor supposedly will be appointed next week after President Sargsyan returns from the Vatican.
