YEREVAN. – The Civil Society (CS) Day is observed in Armenia each year on September 19. In this connection, the “We are the Civil Society” initiative group has released a statement.
“This day aims to spread the concept of civil society among broad segments of the population and make them a part of this concept.
“On [Friday,] September 19, an informational campaign will be carried out toward the Government Building, during which the people will be introduced to the ideology of the CS Day.
“Subsequently, a flash mob is planned with the title, ‘Dialogue for Change.’
“The day will conclude with a joint forum of youth groups. The events will include a joint forum organized by the World Vision Armenia international charitable organization.
“The Civil Society Day events will be held not solely in [capital city] Yerevan, but in the Vayots Dzor, Syunik, and Lori Regions of Armenia,” the statement specifically reads.
