YEREVAN. – Ruling Republican Party of Armenia National Assembly (RPA NA) Faction member Margarita Yesayan denied the rumors, according to which there was a clash between the RPA women MPs with respect to paying a visit to the tomb of the Armenian Arsacid (Arshakuni) Dynasty.

“NA MP, [non-pro-government Prosperous Armenia Party] PAP [NA] Faction, my good friend Aragats Akhoyan called me on September 13, and said: ‘Dear friend, I am pleased to invite you to my village on [Saturday,] September 20.’ And I most gladly accepted this invitation, and I will go today,” she told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Zhoghovurd daily reported earlier that PM Hovik Abrahamyan had decided to visit the aforesaid tomb, which is located in the Aragatsotn Region, on Saturday, and asked that he be submitted a “list” of the NA MPs who may accompany him. But this request had resulted in a “heated” clash among the RPA women MPs.

And it was decided that from the RPA women Margarita Yesayan, and MP and singer Shushan Petrosyan will travel to Aghdzik—where the tomb is located—with Abrahamyan.

As per the daily, Aragats Akhoyan had expressed concern about the tomb and noted that it needs to be saved, and therefore the PM decided to personally go there and save the tomb.
