Armenian Vice Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov on Monday met with Miluše Horská, the Vice-President of the Senate of the Czech Republic.

During the meeting, Armenian official strictly condemned the blasting of the Holy Martyrs Armenian Church in Deir ez-Zor, describing it as a bright manifestation of cultural genocide. This is an extermination of not only Armenian but Christian values as a whole, he said.

Sharmazanov said the explosion is logical continuation of the monument destruction, just as it happened with Armenian cemetery in Nakhichevan and numerous monuments on the territory of present-day Turkey.

He added that blasting of the Armenian Church in Deir ez-Zor could have been prevented in case of international community's condemnation of destruction of the Armenian cultural heritage.
