The 58th Regular Session of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) General Conference is convened from Monday to Friday in the Austrian capital city of Vienna.

An Armenia delegation led by Areg Galstyan, Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, also is attending the event. Galstyan addressed the General Conference on Tuesday.

In his remarks, the deputy minister reflected on the long-term and productive cooperation between Armenia and the IAEA.

He specifically spoke about the ongoing activities to raise the safety level of the operating unit of Armenia’s nuclear power plant, the construction of a new plant in the country, and the projects being jointly implemented in Armenia with the IAEA.
