YEREVAN. – Azerbaijan citizens Shahbaz Guliyev and Dilyam Askerow, who are arrested within the framework of the case into carrying out an intelligence-sabotage attempt on the border between Armenia and the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) on May 14, have an Armenian attorney, Zhoghovurd daily reported.     

“He is NKR attorney Arkadi Israyelyan.  

“He told Zhoghovurd that he has met with the Azerbaijani saboteurs, but based on the confidentiality of due process, he did not wish to provide details of the talk.    

“[Separately,] guided by the provisions of the Geneva Convention, the NKR authorities have unilaterally expressed willingness to hand over the body of [also Azerbaijan citizen] H. Hasanov, who was killed in the exchange of fire during the acts of sabotage,” Zhoghovurd wrote.
