YEREVAN. – The matter of building an Armenian church and an Armenian school in Downtown Prague was discussed at the meeting between the visiting Armenian National Assembly (NA) delegation, and Cardinal Dominik Duka, the spiritual leader of the Czech Republic and the Archbishop of Prague.

Ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) NA Faction member Margarit Yesayan, who was also a member of the abovementioned parliamentary delegation, stated the aforesaid at Saturday’s briefing in the NA.

In her words, warm relations have formed between the Armenian NA and the Czech parliament.

“Thanks to the great efforts and work by Tigran Seyranyan, Armenia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Czech Republic, we have a lot of friends in the Czech Republic,” Yesayan stressed.

The RPA MP added that, during their visit to the Czech Republic, an agreement was reached to work together in all interparliamentary and international organizations.

Summing up the results of the Armenian parliamentary delegation’s visit to the Czech Republic, Margarit Yesayan said: “It can be said that, represented by the Czech Republic, we [, Armenia,] have very good friends in Europe.”
