YEREVAN. – Armenian parliament's session kicked off on Monday from a traditional question by opposition MP.

Zaruhi Postanjyan from Heritage party asked about the fate of protocols signed between Armenia and Turkey to normalize relations.

“What is the fate of Armenia-Turkey protocols?” Postanjyan asked.

Parliament speaker Galust Sahakyan called it “a rhetorical question”, explaining that President Serzh Sargsyan spoke about the protocols during the UN General Assembly session.

“The matter is within the authority of the president,” Sahakyan added.

Speaking at the UN General Assembly session, President Sargsyan said Armenia is discussing the withdrawal of Armenia-Turkey protocols from parliament's agenda.
