YEREVAN. – Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received a delegation led by Helen Clark, the Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

The Premier praised the activities by the UN Office in Armenia and the UNDP over the past 22 years.

Abrahamyan also underscored the evaluation of the 2010-2015 UN-Armenia framework document, and the preparation of the 2016-2020 framework document for development assistance, informed the Government of Armenia press service. The PM expressed confidence that a comprehensive document will be prepared, and it will contribute to Armenia’s further development.

The interlocutors highlighted the need to deepen UN-Armenia cooperation, and implement joint programs.

Clark, for her part, thanked Armenia for the active cooperation with UN, informed about the UNDP’s assistance in the implementation of the priority projects by the Armenian government, and stressed that the United Nations Development Programme will continue assisting the government in the carrying out of several projects.
