YEREVAN. – As a result of the fourth Caspian Sea summit, both Iran and Russia have taken real actions to complement the North-South Transport Corridor.

Political scientist, Iranian Studies specialist, and analyst Karine Gevorgyan told the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am.    

Reflecting on the results of the abovementioned summit and its decisions, she noted that aside from the status of the Caspian Sea, this meeting has had another important aspect: the North-South Transport Corridor. 

“This topic was discussed [at the summit], and the fact that the five Caspian countries will participate in this corridor, is beneficial to all parties,” Gevorgyan stressed, in particular. 

At the fourth Caspian Sea summit, which was convened Monday in the Russian city of Astrakhan, it was noted that a strong infrastructure is also needed for new global projects.
