YEREVAN. – Zhoghovurd daily has learned that Armenia’s second President Robert Kocharyan has traveled to the Russian Federation (RF) capital city of Moscow, the daily reported.

“What is the purpose of his visit? Is a meeting planned with the RF authorities? What will he discuss ahead of the October 10 rally [by the Armenian opposition] and the [Belarusian capital city] Minsk session of the leaders of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council countries, where Armenia is expected to sign the Eurasian Economic Union accession treaty?

“To get answers to these questions, Zhoghovurd spoke with Victor Soghomonyan, the person in charge of Kocharyan’s office, who said: ‘He [i.e., Kocharyan] has not left yet, he will leave, but not for Moscow. It’s just that the RF is a transit country. He will travel to another country from the Moscow airport; that is to say, your information is false,’” Zhoghovurd wrote.
