YEREVAN. – The state-funded Public Television of Armenia gives more coverage to the opposition than the ruling camp.

National Assembly (NA) Vice-Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov stated the above-said in the parliament on Wednesday, but assuring that he regards this quite positively.

“Our opposition needs special attention. So, there is no problem here,” the NA deputy chair added.

In his view, people from all political camps are invited to the Public Television of Armenia.

“And this is another proof of the impartiality of our Public Television,” Eduard Sharmazanov stated.

The opposition, however, often accuses the Public Television of conducting propaganda in favor of the authorities. This occurs more frequently during general elections in Armenia.
