YEREVAN. – The Armenia Ministry of Emergency Situations National Seismic Protection Service has disseminated information. 

Accordingly, a magnitude 4.8 earthquake occurred, on Saturday at 8:59am local time, on the Azerbaijan-Russia border zone, 20 km east of Qabala, Azerbaijan, and it measured magnitude 6-7 at the epicenter.

The hypocenter of the tremor was 10 km beneath the surface.

The seismic activity was also felt in Chambarak, Berd, and Ijevan cities of Armenia.
