YEREVAN. – A delegation from the Belarusian Ministry of Culture, led by Minister Boris Svetlov, is in Armenia on an official visit from Wednesday to October 20.

Within the framework of the trip, the delegation on Friday was received by Armenian Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan.

Poghosyan spoke about Armenian-Belarusian cultural cooperation, and the parties recorded the results of cooperation in the previous years and outlined the future plans.

Subsequently, Poghosyan and Svetlov signed the 2014-2017 Program for Cultural Cooperation between the Armenia and the Belarus Ministries of Culture.

The program consists of twelve articles and covers all domains of culture and art.

Pursuant to the program, the parties also shall promote the establishment of direct ties between the libraries in their respective countries.

Along the lines of the Belarusian culture minister’s visit, Days of Belarusian Culture will be held in Armenia, whose official opening will take place Friday at 7pm.
