YEREVAN. – National consultations were held in Armenia, and six priorities were adopted, which will be put on the international format of the post-2015 UN development agenda.

Amalia Grigoryan, the Conflict Prevention Program Coordinator at the Armenian United Nations Association (AUNA), stated the aforementioned on Tuesday, as she introduced the AUNA project entitled, “Peace, Security and Conflict Prevention in Post-2015 Development Agenda.”

“Our actions are clearly aimed at raising civil society awareness [in Armenia]. Unlike the agenda of the [UN] Millennium Development Goals, the Post-2015 Development Agenda can be inclusive,” Grigoryan noted in particular.

AUNA President Armine Podosyan, for her part, stressed that considering the former shortcomings, the UN has decided that it needs to define its future objectives and actions in any country.

“Armenia was among the list of fifty countries which held national consultations. As a result, six priorities are formed: economic growth and employment; sustainable environment; equality; food safety; health care; and effective management,” Podosyan stated.
