YEREVAN. – France's Ambassador Henri Reynaud said Armenia is a partner of the Eastern Partnership program, and quite strong partner.

Asked about cooperation prospects amid Armenia's accession to the Eurasian Union, Ambassador noted Armenia's intention to further deepen collaboration with the EU. Armenian side's willingness was reflected in a statement adopted at the summit in Vilnius.

As to France, President Hollande, during his visit to Yerevan, clearly stated the need to deepen cooperation with Armenia, not forgetting the priorities on the basis of which Armenia adopted a decision to join Eurasian Union.

“I think this is a very direct and important statement, devoid of ambiguity, which was heard not only in Armenia,” Ambassador emphasized.

According to him, the task for the EU is to maintain close relations with Armenia, and “I think Armenia's future is promising”.

With regard to the cooperation between Armenia and France in the context of joining the Eurasian Union, Ambassador Reynaud expressed his optimism, noting that, as stated by the President of Armenia, accession will expand the Armenian market, and French entrepreneurs think of working in this direction.
