YEREVAN. – Numerous Armenia-Iran bilateral projects are postponed or simply not implemented because relations between the states do not depend on the countries only, political analyst Shushan Khatlamadjyan said.

As to economic benefit from a free trade zone between Armenia and Iran, the analyst said construction of the railway will be bring more benefit.

“Whatever happens, Armenia-Iran relations are excellent and have positive trend of development,” she said.

Expert on Iranian studies Vardan Voskanyan, for his part, noted that Iran is not interested in the strengthening of Azerbaijan.

“Despite gloss, Iran and Azerbaijan can never have completely good neighborly relations,” he said.
