YEREVAN. – Armenian Minister of Culture, Hasmik Poghosyan, received a delegation from the Saxony-Anhalt federal state of Germany. The delegation included Stephan Dorgerloh, the Saxony-Anhalt Minister of Culture.

First, Poghosyan thanked Dorgerloh for the Saxony-Anhalt Culture Ministry’s efforts towards achieving a sustainable development of Armenian-German cultural cooperation.

Subsequently, the interlocutors discussed the joint agreements that were reached in Saxony-Anhalt this February, and the implementation of these arrangements.

In addition, Minister Poghosyan spoke about the ongoing successful bilateral cooperation in several domains, and noted the importance of their continuation.

Furthermore, the parties reaffirmed their arrangement on holding German Culture Days in Armenia, in 2015, and Armenian Culture Days in Germany, in 2016.

Poghosyan, for her part, also expressed willingness to assist Germany in having the Armenian petroglyphs (rock carvings) included in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List.

At the end of the talk, Stephan Dorgerloh thanked Hasmik Poghosyan for the warm reception and fruitful discussions, and for her readiness to implement important programs.
