YEREVAN. – Armenian Minister of Culture, Hasmik Poghosyan, on Thursday received Mexican Ambassador Rubén Beltrán Guerrero.

Poghosyan expressed the hope that the long geographical distance between the two countries will not become an obstacle before the further strengthening of Armenian-Mexican cultural relations.

Subsequently, the minister reflected on the Mexican Culture Days in Armenia, which were held in 2011.

Poghosyan also stressed that the forthcoming signing of the 2015-2019 program of cooperation between the Governments of Armenia and Mexico is the best manifestation of the strengthening of the Armenian-Mexican legal-contractual framework.

The interlocutors conferred on the matter of holding Mexican Culture Days in Armenia, in 2015.

At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Guerrero thanked Minister Poghosyan for the warm reception, for outlining interesting and important programs, and for her efforts to strengthen Armenian-Mexican cultural ties.
