YEREVAN. – Emigration, for which today’s authorities are to blame, is a serious challenge to Armenia.

Opposition Armenian National Congress National Assembly (ANC NA) Faction Secretary Aram Manukyan stated the aforesaid at the NA on Friday.

The MP cited statistical data. Manukyan noted that 110,000-120,000 people leave Armenia each year, and moreover, as a rule, 60,000 of them do not return.

The ANC deputy added that the trend is such that, subsequently, those who have left the country also call for their relatives to join them abroad.

“This is a serious challenge for our country, and the problem must be solved solely owing to a change of power. [And] only those who have posts at the state institutions don’t want this [regime change],” Aram Manukyan concluded.
