YEREVAN. – Non-pro-government Prosperous Armenia Party National Assembly (PAP NA) Faction member Aragats Akhoyan also was on hand at Friday’s joint rally by the three non-government NA factions (Armenian National Congress, PAP, and Heritage).

Akhoyan, however, was not on the platform, but rather at the square.

To Armenian News-NEWS.am’s query as to whether he has any fears, as a representative of the business segment of the PAP, that pressure would be launched against him, he responded:

“Let’s start with the fact that I’m a businessman MP. It’s not a bad image, but if you follow my activities, you’ll see how much I am engaged in the political arena.

“That business segment is not true that much. I’ve put that aside for a long time, and I’m involved in political activity.”

To the remark that although he might not be engaged in direct business, they are his businesses, he replied: “No, I’m not afraid [of the pressures].”
