YEREVAN. – While touring the Yerevan Show 2014 international jewelry exhibition being held in the Armenian capital city, President Serzh Sargsyan took a liking to the creations displayed at the stand of the Armenian Jewellers Association (AJA) Jewelry School in Yerevan.

School Director Gohar Hambardzumyan told the aforementioned to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“He liked a student’s work: a natural stone leaf with an obsidian ant,” she added.     

The AJA Jewelry School conducts six-month charity workshops sponsored by the Armenian jewelers from around the world. The school is active for already two years, and it has 13-15 graduates each year. 

“We are training good professionals, since we need new recruits. We would also like to establish a good basis for the companies which will be in the jewelry sector of the “Meridian” Free Economic Zone [in Yerevan],” Gohar Hambardzumyan noted, in particular.
