On Tuesday, the euro exchange rate against the Russian ruble (RUB) has upgraded its historical maximum and reached RUB 54/€1 at 10:37 Moscow time, Pronedra reported citing the Moscow Exchange data.

The source noted that the euro exchange rate increased by 33 kopecks, as compared to Monday’s closing exchange rate. The US dollar also gained ground and reached RUB 42.45/$1.

The source stressed that the euro was able to increase its value by one ruble in just four days.
