YEREVAN. – It is not always necessary to expect some announcements after high-level meetings on the Nagorno-Karabakh issue.

Ruling Republican Party of Armenia National Assembly Faction member Sukias Avetisyan stated the above-said at a press conference on Tuesday.

He said that following Monday’s meeting in Paris between the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan, the parties noted that confidence is needed to continue the talks in this climate.

“We believe that the work continues in this direction,” Avetisyan added.

In his words, Monday’s meetings in the French capital city have proved the need for the restoration of mutual trust.

“The ceasefire needs to be maintained still for long, to ultimately achieve the settlement of the [Nagorno-Karabakh] conflict,” Sukias Avetisyan concluded.
