YEREVAN. – Armenia’s new Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, Ara Sahakyan—whose diplomatic residence is in Astana, Kazakhstan—, on Wednesday presented his credentials to President Almazbek Atambayev of Kyrgyzstan.

Wishing the Armenian diplomat success, President Atambayev asked Sahakyan to convey his best wishes to Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and to the Armenian people, informed the Armenia MFA press service.

He also underscored the need to deepen Armenian-Kyrgyz relations, and expressed the hope that the Armenia-Kyrgyzstan ties will gain a new quality within the Eurasian Economic Union and numerous other organizations.

Ambassador Sahakyan, for his part, noted that he will exert all the necessary efforts to invigorate Armenian-Kyrgyz ties.
