YEREVAN. – From strategic viewpoint, Armenia should draw lessons from Putin's policy on Ukraine, analyst Richard Giragosian believes.

He is convinced that Armenia should realize the threats of alliance with the president of Russia.

“We should realize the threat of concessions not only in terms of sovereignty, but in the context of the impact of sanctions imposed against Russia,” Giragosian said during a conference in Yerevan.

In addition, there is a trend toward improvement of relations between Russia and Azerbaijan, when Russia is a number one weapon supplier to Armenia and Azerbaijan.

“This makes Russia less reliable ally for Armenia,” he resumed.
